The most sophisticated and ‘up-specced’ luxury cruiser ever produced by Australia’s Maritimo will be on show at the upcoming Singapore Yacht Show.
Named ‘Dragon Pearl’, the Maritimo M70 cruising motoryacht has more than $1.5 million in optional extras on top of the $3 million base price and is technologically superior to any boat in its class on the market. Maritimo’s International Sales and Marketing Manager, Greg Haines, said ‘Dragon Pearl’ would be a major drawcard at the company’s display in Singapore.
“The owner is based in Singapore and operates an international private VIP jet charter business from there,” said Haines. “He has spared no expense on ‘Dragon Pearl’ with literally hundreds of thousands of dollars in entertainment and communications equipment on board. He can remain on-line and connected no matter where in the world the boat happens to be.”
“He even has a shipping container that is loaded with all the water toys you could imagine, like jet skis, wake boards, surf boards, dive gear and fishing gear, which follows the boat around the various ports where it is being used so the owner and his guests have everything at their finger tips. A 26 foot Chris Craft tender painted in the same colour as ‘Dragon Pearl’s hull completes the package.”
The boat was shipped to Singapore early this month to be on hand for the show. Haines said Maritimo would also have a M51 on display. He said Maritimo’s European and Asian dealer partner, Craig Harvey who is based in Monaco, would be attending the show along with members of the Maritimo team. The company is represented by SG Boating located at Raffles Marina in Singapore.
“We have a M51 which is about to be delivered to its Singapore owner, and we see the show based at Sentosa as an important one in our international calendar,” said Haines. “Singapore is a dynamic city and the gateway to many international markets so the prospects for us in this part of the world are very bright. We can use this as a springboard into areas such as Malaysia and Thailand.”
