Iconic Australian cruiser manufacturer Maritimo has three significant boat shows coming up in the USA from mid-September and it will be displaying two of its most popular models.
Maritimo’s Marketing and International Sales Director, Greg Haines, said the M64 and M54 cruising motoryachts would be featured at the shows with dealer partner Staten Island Yacht Sales co-ordinating. The shows are the Newport International Boat Show from September 15 to 18; the Norwalk International In Water Boat Show from September 22 to 25 and the Annapolis Power Boat Show from October 13 to 16.
“The Staten Island Yachts Sales team has extensive contacts in these three locations and we are quietly confident we will achieve good results,” he said. Haines said Maritimo’s dealer partners in the USA, including Staten Island Yachts Sales, Hampton Yacht Group and Galati Yacht Sales, were helping cement the brand in that marketplace. “Our presence in the USA on both the east and west coasts has grown considerably in the past 18 months and our sales are on the increase,” he said. “The Maritimo range with fully enclosed, climate controlled flybridges resonates with boaties in those areas with colder climates.”
Hampton Yacht Group‘s Bill King, based in Newport Beach, California, said the exceptional visibility from the flybridges of the Maritimo range appealed to boaties in the North West region of the USA where there was a lot of logging and often hazards such as wayward logs in the water. “Whereas in the South West there is a lot of fishing so the walk around decks are a big drawcard for boaties as they can fight their fish from various positions around their boats in safety,” he said.
Haines said Maritimo’s international reputation for exceptional sea keeping capabilities across all its models was highly relevant in the USA market. “Our vessels are used in a wide variety of environments in the US so they have to perform,” he said.
