Maritimo Americas President, Dave Northrop, is on the Gold Coast in the lead up to Christmas playing ‘Santa’s Helper’ as the finishing touches are put to three vessels readying them to be shipped to their new owners at the end of the month.
The $7.5 million dollar shipment will see an M64 and two M54 cruising motoryachts land in Florida and Vancouver early in 2019.
“You could say they are belated Christmas presents and the new owners are eagerly awaiting their arrival early in 2019,” said Northrop.
The owner of one of the M54’s took delivery of his boat here in Australia several weeks back and cruised the boat as far north as Lady Musgrave Island and back through the Great Sandy Straits, to Mooloolaba and Moreton Bay before returning to the Gold Coast.
Maritimo’s general manager operations, Phil Candler, said the owner had previously owned an M48 and did the shake down cruise with a couple of his friends from Canada. “One of those friends has previously owned an M62 and is now considering an M64 as a result of the recent trip,” he said. “Dave has been out here giving the boats a final once over before they head to America and Canada and to also go through our plans for Maritimo in those markets in the next 12 months.”
The second M54 about to be shipped has been purchased by Galati Yacht Sales in Florida and the M64 will also be based in Florida.
Northrop said the ‘new generation’ flybridge and sedan vessels being produced by Maritimo were being very well received in the USA.
“The level of quality, attention to detail, design innovation and performance is outstanding and our buyers are recognising that, ” he said.
